Rent the Rock
For a donation of $25, rent Magellan’s new Spirit Rock for a day and paint a message of support for a Magellan student, teacher, staff member — or celebrate an event! This would also be a great way for sports teams and clubs to celebrate their groups!
After you have painted your design, post a picture on social media and tag Magellan MaP so we can repost it!

Interested in Renting the Rock? The rules are as follows:
1) Sign up for the day(s) you want the spirit rock to be viewed. You may only sign up for one day per child at this time.
2) You may begin decorating the spirit rock at 4:00 PM the day BEFORE you sign up. Similarly, the person who signs up for the next day may begin decorating the rock at 4:00 PM on the day you have reserved. Therefore, spirit rock reservations run from 4:00 PM the day BEFORE you sign up through 3:59 PM the day of your sign up.
ALL RESERVATIONS ARE RAIN OR SHINE
3) You are responsible for providing all materials for decorating the Spirit Rock. Spray paint and acrylic paint are the recommended mediums. Only paint may be used to decorate the Spirit Rock – you may not use glue, glitter or any other type of materials to decorate the Spirit Rock.
You are expected to cover the surrounding mulch and to ensure that the area around the Spirit Rock remains clean and free of trash, debris and paint. A tarp will be available in the office courtesy of MaP.
4) Spirit rock fees are $25.00 per day. All proceeds collected for the Spirit Rock will benefit MaP. All fees must be paid in Infinite Campus no later than the last day of the month preceding your reservation (for example, a reservation for April 11th must be paid no later than March 31st). An exception is made for August dates, which must be paid by Meet The Teacher.
All payments and reservations are non-refundable for any reason (changed your mind, inclement weather, etc). However, if you decide you do not want your date, you can offer it to a friend or sell it to another family. However, the school will not offer refunds on any reserved dates.
5) The rock is only rentable for the dates listed on the Sign Up Genius. If a date is missing from the Sign Up Genius it has been reserved by the school or by MaP.
6) A reminder email will be sent 2 days before your reservation date via Sign Up Genius. Please make sure to note on your personal calendar, the day(s) you have reserved your school’s Spirit Rock. MaP is not responsible for missed or forgotten reservations.
7) The Spirit Rock is specifically intended to celebrate our students and our school by highlighting Magellan school and club activities, student accomplishments and birthdays, and other related events. The rock may not be rented to promote a business or to publicize an outside event (unless otherwise approved by MaP).
All spirit rock decorations must meet the same handbook standard we would expect of any school sponsored sign, attire, events etc. Any messages deemed inappropriate by administration or MaP will immediately be covered without notice and will not be refunded.
8) Any student caught altering the rock will be subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of the administration. This may also include financial penalties to reimburse the family that rented the rock.
9) Magellan Charter School is not responsible for any injuries as a result of painting the rock.
